1. Healthy Fats: For each meal you should be sure to include some healthy fats. We have been indoctrinated to believe fats are a bad thing. But in actuality, some fats are good for you and help your body with appropriate fat burning. and muscle building hormone levels in your body. When you consume sufficient healthy fats it is beneficial in helping keep your appetite in check.
Some example of health fats, raw nuts, seeds, egg yolks, avocados, extra virgin olive oil – which contains the highest antioxidant level of olive oils, coconut oil, and grass-fed meats.
2. Appetite suppression: About 30 minutes prior to your meals eat a handful of raw nuts such as pecans, walnuts or almonds. This will aid in holding down your appetite and provide the added benefit of adding some protein and fiber to your diet, which your body requires to function at its best. You will find yourself eating healthy fats and you will consume less calories and get more nutrition. Many people do not realize that nuts are very high in nutrient density. Make it a goal to have a high quality protein source with each meal and snack.
Adequate protein with your meals will support your body in controlling blood sugar and insulin levels by assisting in the slow the breakdown of carbohydrates.
3. Watch the types of carbohydrates: It has been demonstrated that, when people start to minimize their grain consumption from refined grains such as cereals, bagels, breads, pasta, and so on, their bodies eliminate body fat much easier. Natural sugars in whole fruits and berries are good for the body. Also, the fiber in fruits helps your body to process sugar more effectively. You want to be careful of fruit juices. Fruit juices are comprised primarily of sugar and the most important ingredient, fiber, has been removed in the processing of the juice.
Your best bet is to decrease your intake of refined grains and emphasize carbohydrate intake primarily with whole fruits and vegetables. In many cases just this single step will help people manage their weight more easily.
